Based on the blockbuster film and bestselling novel, The Devil Wears Prada musical is set to be an unforgettable spectacle. With an original score by the legendary Elton John, lyrics by Shaina Taub, and a book by Kate Wetherhead, the show is directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, known for hits like Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, and Pretty Woman. This is a team that understands fashion.
Leading the production, Tony Award nominee and multi-award-winning singer Vanessa Williams takes on the role of the iconic Miranda Priestly, Editor-in-Chief of Runway magazine. Known for her celebrated TV roles in Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives, Vanessa is set to bring her signature charisma and power to this legendary character.
She will be joined by a stellar cast, including Georgie Buckland making her West End debut as Andy, Amy Di Bartolomeo (Six) as Emily, and Olivier Award winner Matt Henry (Kinky Boots) as Runway’s Creative Fashion Director, Nigel. Every member of this fabulous ensemble will be stepping into the spotlight wearing Terry de Havilland footwear, adding that extra glamour to their performances.
The Devil Wears Prada tells the story of Andy, a fresh-out-of-college aspiring journalist who lands a job at the prestigious Runway magazine. She finds herself working for Miranda Priestly, the most powerful and demanding icon in fashion.
