ABOUT THE LOLA

Our new Lola Boot has arrived, the calf-length boot is available in a black colourway with a heel height of 4.5cm. The 60’s inspired silhouette is a must-have shoe this season. The croc effect patent leather gives a sophisticated yet youthful styling. Our in house blogger Gabrielle has put together her 5 ways in which she would style the Lola boot for a variety of summer occasions (a boot doesn’t have to just come out in winter) check out the styling below:

LOOK ONE – FESTIVAL CHIC
Festival season has just begun and if your struggling what to wear this outfit may help. Especially if you’re going to a festival in England, our bipolar weather makes outfit planning extra hard. I paired a denim midi-length skirt which has a cut out detail along the front with a black balloon sleeve top. This allows your leg to still have length and show some skin while wearing the calf-length Lola boot. The denim breaks up the black colour blocking adding some colour and more casual styling to the outfit. The Lola boot is a perfect festival boot – you definitely won’t be cold or wet if the English Weather lets you down, however you can style it with a cooler outfit so you find the perfect middle ground.

LOOK TWO – DAY DRINKS
Are you going out for day drinks with the girls this bank holiday and lost at what to wear? The Lola boot is the perfect boot to wear all day to look effortlessly cool, but most importantly comfortable! I paired again a ruffle sleeve top with knee-length shorts for slightly more casual styling, again denim can dress down an outfit. The calf-length boot is the perfect length to pair with a knee-length short, as you still have some skin showing to give you that length. If you are short like me (5”3) then this is something you may consider when buying clothes, therefore you may want to buy the Lola Boot over a knee-high boot to add length into your outfits. If you are after a ‘dressier’ look for a more evening wear attire, I also paired this look with a mini skirt – this look definitely has a 60’s feel.

LOOK THREE –  SHOPPING TRIP
A day trip to your closest city for a shopping day, whether that is London, Manchester, Newcastle or Edinburgh you want to look stylish while shopping for your new wardrobe. I created a minimal styling for this sophisticated look. I paired a camel PVC longline coat with a black mini skirt, and square neck strap top with the black Lola boot. Again the camel tone breaks up the black colour blocking, and adding a coat longer than the skirt or dress you may want to wear underneath creates a feminine look that doesn’t make us petite girls feel small. The Lola Boot has a croc-effect leather creating a statement boot which shouldn’t be hidden this summer.

LOOK 4 – HOLIDAY LOOK

It is only August, so the holiday season is still in full swing. You could wear this dress sightseeing in Venice, shopping in Barcelona or for an evening look in Ibiza, this look can be dressed up or down with accessories. Although we associate knit with winter, this summer knit dress has a cool fabric which makes it perfect for summer. The dress complements the Lola Boot perfectly creating an effortless yet sophisticated look. Pair with a shoulder bag and oversized glasses to finish off your holiday look. Add more jewellery or a black chunky belt to create a more ‘dressy’ version. Boots and Knit are summer suitable too!

LOOK 5 – BRUNCH

Are you meeting family, friends or your boyfriend for brunch? Do you never know what to wear because it’s not quite an afternoon but you are still going out for a relatively nice meal? I always have the same issue. An oversized shirt is my go-to when I am not sure what to wear, it is easy, we all have one in the back of our wardrobe (or steal one from your dad or boyfriend) and pair them with a Terry De Havilland boot and your set for brunch – as simple as that. As the Lola boot is not high it is great for day occasions as well as evening – especially if you are tall! The boot is a statement within itself.

The Lola boot is a versatile shoe which you can wear for any event, it is simply how you dress it and although it might not be obvious it is the perfect shoe for summer – trousers and calf-length boots don’t have to go together!
